Our Client,a major Consumer Product Company,based on Long Island has asked us to locate a Corporate Tax Manager .The candidate we seek should have 5-8 years Public and or Private Tax experience.
Responsibilities include:
The candidate must be capable of accurate completion of federal and state tax returns, studying tax regulations; searching out and evaluating tax options with minimal supervision and guidance; computing taxes and other projects as assigned.
Preparation of Federal and State Returns for Corporate and subsidiaries. Review of book fixed asset records, and maintenance of tax fixed asset records
Prepare estimated income tax payment computations
Prepare annual reports and personal property tax reports where required
Review Form 90.22, Annual Report of Foreign Bank Accounts.
Review IRS Forms 5471 for all foreign subsidiaries
Prepare Forms 5500 for the company’s 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan and Health and Life Benefits Plan.
Perform tax research on US and international tax issues to identify tax saving opportunities
Ideal Candidate must possess the following skills/attributes:
5+years of corporate tax accounting and tax compliance experience in either public accounting or in the manufacturing industry.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or Tax, Masters degree preferred Strong experience in use of CCH Prosystem tax preparation software
Strong Organizational Skills –self starter who can take on tasks with minimal direction as well as detail oriented Experience in supervising direct reports
